Will the UK’s AI Growth Plans Also “Mainline” Cyber Threats?
Exploring the importance of balancing AI innovation with risk management.
“The challenge is that the hidden layers of AI operate through ‘learned representations’, which is difficult for security teams to interpret and monitor for vulnerabilities. This makes it harder to detect tampered AI models, particularly in systems that function autonomously or in real-time,”
ISO 42001, for example, is designed to drive responsible use and management of AI management systems. “It provides guidelines for secure AI use, helping developers implement mechanisms to detect unusual behaviour or unexpected outputs, reducing susceptibility to manipulation. ISO 42001 is an effective methodology for helping organisations to adopt AI mindfully. It drives a careful approach to assessing and controlling the implementation of AI, ensuring that there is sufficient insight and oversight of associated risks.”
Angie Forder, Business and Finance Administrator
Angie’s Role
Working with suppliers and processing all costs within the company, including all payments out and payroll/HR duties.

Executive Insights: The State of Information Security in 2024
This blog, Executive Insights: The State of Information Security in 2024, is my favourite piece of content from the last year because it offers a comprehensive, data-driven analysis of the evolving security landscape. It highlights the growing role of information security as a driver of business resilience and growth, not just risk mitigation.
The report’s insights on supply chain vulnerabilities, AI in cybersecurity, and the business value of compliance are particularly valuable. It presents crucial data and provides actionable takeaways for organisations to stay ahead of threats, making it a must-read for any business leader navigating today’s complex risk environment.
Christie Rae, Content Marketing Specialist
Christie’s Role
In my role as content marketing specialist, I create informational, engaging information security content for our audience. This includes insights into key standards like ISO 27001 and ISO 42001, as well as information security trends and data-driven blogs like my look into data privacy in the UK.

Building an Inclusive Workplace Every Day of the Year
The 2023 McKinsey Diversity Matters Even More report states that “companies in the top quartile for both gender and ethnic diversity in executive teams are on average 9 percent more likely to outperform their peers.” So, while March 8th marks the annual celebration of International Women’s Day, every day is a good day to work towards a culture that celebrates people from all backgrounds and walks of life. The companies that do so undoubtedly see the benefits through improved innovation, their financial bottom line, their security posture and business-wide.
